As a therapist, I conceptualize from a view that believes emotions matter and can teach us a lot about ourselves and how we react to things that happen. I also think that developing a couple of skills to help with navigating difficult circumstances can make a world of difference. Thus, in practice, I interact a lot with my client's emotional knowledge and expression, as well as their ability to identify their needs and use the tools they learn in therapy to help meet those needs.
