Eating Disorder Treatment Team
Overview
Eating disorders are multifaceted conditions impacting physical and mental health and daily functioning. Given their complexity, a team-based approach is the most effective way to address the multiple areas of well-being impacted by eating disorders.
About the Team
The Eating Disorder Treatment (EDO) Team is made up of a registered dietitian, counselors and psychologists from the Counseling and Wellness Center, and medical professionals from the Student Health Center, including primary care and psychiatric providers, nurses, and an athletic trainer. All members of the EDO Treatment Team operate from Health at Every Size, non-diet, and weight-inclusive approaches.
This multidisciplinary team was created to support students who have mild and/or stable symptoms and require extra support to maintain or continue their progress toward recovery. If a student requires additional support for symptoms that are not currently stable or well-managed, the team will help them explore and access more appropriate, higher-level care services.
