About

Angela is a recent graduate from Alliant International University, San Diego, where she received her PsyD in Clinical Psychology in June, 2021. Within the therapeutic setting, Angela uses a compassionate, evidence-based, and client-centered approach to understand the various facets of her clients' presenting concerns. Combined with collaborative goal setting, she uses a hand-on approach to encourage clients to build resilience/autonomy, seek safety/stability, understand and align with their values, sustain life balance, maintain healthy choices and relationships, and ultimately, tolerate the inevitability of suffering (including adulting). Her therapeutic values include authenticity, healthy boundaries/assertive communication, compassion, cultural humility, and mental flexibility.

Professional Interests

Working with neurodiverse (ADHD, ASD, etc.), LGBTQIA+, and culturally diverse adult populations; presenting issues related to anxiety management, social communication, acculturation stressors, sense of self, values conflicts, and existential concerns; other interests include community outreach, mindfulness and the mind-body connection, neuropsychology, and challenging the status quo within the psychology field. 

Personal Wellness Strategies

Outdoor exploration (hiking/camping), live music, spending time with loved ones, my cat (Mittens), humor, philosophy, art, and brain games.
