Admissions, Support and Initial Placement Data
Western Washington University Counseling and Wellness Center Doctoral Internship Program (WWUCWCDIP) currently offers four full-time internship positions through the APPIC (Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) match process. WWUCWCDIP bases its selection process on the entire application package submitted through AAPIC; however, applicants who have met the following qualifications prior to beginning internship are considered preferred:
- A minimum of 350 direct service hours (this includes both intervention hours and assessment hours)
- Dissertation proposal defended
- Minimum of three years of graduate school training
- Some experience or specified interest in working with a university population
- Current enrollment and good standing in a Counseling or Clinical Psychology doctoral program
