About
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor utilizing the following approaches to brief individual therapy: Solution Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Mindfulness Practice. I also incorporate a trauma-informed and systemic lens in my work with students, which includes addressing issues related to family, culture, gender, sexuality, and societal factors. I am active in our Group Therapy Program as the Coordinator and also lead the Understanding Self and Others process group in addition to the Family Ties family trauma support group. Moreover, I am an Approved Supervisor providing supervision to Licensed Mental Health Counselors in training, in addition to providing supervision and seminar to Pre-Doctoral interns within our training program. Additionally, I enjoy providing outreach programing targeting non-traditional college students.
Professional Interests
First-generation students, nontraditional students, students transitioning from the foster care system, family trauma, mindfulness practice, adjustment, existential concerns.
