Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, an annual national awareness month that focuses attention on the importance of caring for our mental well-being, reducing stigma around mental health issues, and promoting seeking help.

At Western we believe mental health IS health, and throughout the month of May, the Counseling and Wellness Center will be offering workshops and promoting events around mental health. We hope you will join us! Please check back frequently for more updates on events, and follow us on Instagram.

Upcoming Suicide Prevention Trainings

We all have a role to play in suicide prevention. The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training teaches people how to recognize when someone may be at risk for suicide and how to connect them with immediate help.
